Nouv is a unique name of Cambodian decent meaning "stay." People named Nouv are generally quiet, and generous guys who have been through many struggles in life. They stand up for themselves, and don't take shit from people. underneath their gangster mentality is a sensitive and caring man who is really trying to have a better life for himself. People named Nouv also are very sexy and attract many woman, but once they find their one true love, they are romantic and loyal to that special person.

It's no wonder his name is Nouv, he's such a tough guy, but is so caring once you get to know him better!

Nouv

Nouv, is a British perjorative term, an abbreviation of Nouveau Riche, to describe people who ostentatiously display their newly acquired wealth in the most tacky obvious ways - like adding large porticos to a bungalow or parking their new 4x4 in the street not their garage. Tacky, bad taste, more money than sense, cant handle the wealth. the opposite of "Old Money"

The new neighbours were Nouvs, they painted their dustbins in gold leaf and installed porticos on the dog kennel

Nouveau Teche 

Similar to nouveau riche, nouveau teche are non-tech companies that have very recently called themselves "a Tech Company".

They often talk loudly about buzzwords of the day like blockchain, AI, ML, Big Data, IoT. More prolific ones use chained combos to impress, like "we use Big Data IoT with Blockchained AI to drive our candle making business."

You got to be amused by the number of nouveau teche coming into the Bay Area these days.

nouveau riche 

nouveau riche means "newly rich" in french. One who has recently become rich, especially one who flaunts newly acquired wealth.

nouveau riche is a term, usually derogatory, to describe persons who acquire wealth within their generation, and spend it conspicuously. The implication is that, being of lower- or middle-class origin, these individuals lack the taste to properly use wealth. Hence, this class of people is sometimes ill-regarded by old money as culturally inferior, comparatively lacking in pedigree and subtlety.

The benchmark of the "nouveau riche" is their acquiring posessions which are touted to them as being the sort of things that rich people would possess. "Old money" in traditional European societies have inherited a large house filled with well-built furniture acquired over the centuries. Their cars are not necessarily the most expensive and capable, but have a bit of restraint, or else they disguise their social position in cars of the middle rank. During the Great Depression, Chryslers, for example, were sold to such people for this reason. They fit within a social milieu in which everyone knows everyone else and has for generations. The "nouveau riche" in essence try to crash this party by buying everything they need to show that they have money not merely within one generation but within a few years.

Paris Hilton, jumped out of her new viper car, wearing a tight skimpy dress, clutching her tiny dog, and started posing for the camera's, telling everybody how 'sexy' and 'rich' she is.

A group of conservative Brooks Brothers/Polo cladded teenagers, rolled their eyes, and thought, "nouveau riche."

a. When something is newly produced as a replica or as an imitation of an older style or form, it is said to be nouveauld; especially when the nouveauld object is in fashion at the moment.

b. When a celebrity who was formerly very popular experiences a resurgence in notoriety, as in a comeback, during her or his advanced years, s/he is said to be nouveauld.

a. I am unimpressed by those nouveauld Victorian columns on that McMansion.

a. Restoration Hardware is chock-full of products that are nouveauld.

b. My favorite nouveauld star is Betty White.

It's what all of the cool kids are listening to right now. Alot of the hott dance traxxx coming out of France right now would fit into this genre.

Rave Nouveau is so big in France!, Rave Nuevo is hitting hard south of the border in Mexico too! Before long new rave will take over the radiowaves world wide! Just ask deejays like the world famous DJ Willow from Paris or her Tag Team DJ sidekick DJ YR LTTL PWNY.

nouveau riche 

Nouveau riche is French for 'New Rich.' It refers to wealthy people who aren't from old money or aren't blue blooded. They may be rich, but they're not socially accepted yet by those who have had wealth in their family for generations.

Tom is summering on the vineyard, but is still outcasted because he's nouveau riche.
