Existentialism

Life may be pointless. We will die and leave no marking on the world.

But that's no bloody reason to stop trying. In struggle humans are beautiful creatures. We are each our own invention fighting against the waves of Entropy to give our life meaning. And THAT is why life is worth living.

... at least that was always my take on it.

existential nincompoop 

A technical philosophical term coined by a great philosophy professor
1) One that is completely and utterly ignorant to their existential worth.

2) A person that does not allow for existential growth due to their lack of understanding of either themselves or of the necessity

Maxwell is such a nihilist, he doesn't get out of bed all day, he doesn't contribute to society in any way. He is SUCH an existential nincompoop.

Existential Tourettes 

Nervous or paranoid tics resulting in an overwhelming desire to yell or inability to control anger aimed at those who don't appreciate the gravity of serious matters that cause the rest of humanity to suffer as a result.

During the pandemic, John let existential tourettes get the better of him when he shouted at a crowd of people not wearing facemasks, "God d****t, this is why we can't have nice things, you f*****s!"

Back pain that is caused by simply existing.

For example, feeling pain in the upper or lower back region when there is no reason too. This is known as existential back pain

existential embarrassment 

The feeling of intense embarrassment after one realizes they have constructed their sense of self on false premises.

At age 13, Matt was what you would call wapanese. Having never confronted his self-misconception for what it was, he channeled his existential embarrassment into hatred of others who reminded him of the way he used to be.
