A flowing together of items that should merge, but do not.

Trying to integrate these items has resulted in a real confluement.

What you'd likely find yourself in if you go hot-headedly throwing spears at your fellow leaders.

I never could understand why dat temperish javelin-chucking dude in da Bible wasn't thrown into Saulitary confinement for his treasonous murder-attempts... didn't they have a proper concept of justice back then????
