1. Shout Out and Hip Hop History - FYI:
DNA, coined the phrase "Shout Outs" in the fall of 1984; while producing a Rap Radio Show on the former WHBI 105.9fm radio station in New York City.

2. On Saturday-May 25,1985 DNA Created, Produced and Hosted his own, All Rap Music - Radio Show with his assistant DJ-Hank Love and various other DJs he help to discover... The Radio Show was called " The DNA-Hank Love Show..." from (May,1985 - November,1992)

3. NOTE: Where the phrase "SHOUT-OUT / SHOUT-OUTS", which DNA coined became "World-Famous..." (Now This is Hip Hop History...)

To shout to the devil is to do something that you obviously believe makes you seem cool, or above others, when it in fact, is not.

Taken from the song "Shout to the Top" by The Style Council, to shout to the top is a slang term meaning to proclaim something life-shattering and prophetic as loudly as you can, or to quickly but effectively blurt out a solid argument.
"Shout to the top, man!"
