The process of going through residential
neighborhoods just before the city sanitation trucks pick up “bulk trash.” Those items that will not fit in the homeowner's regular trash container are considered “bulk trash.” The residents are instructed to place those items
on the curb in front of the house and at a scheduled time the city will pick up everything and dispose of it. The goal is to beat the sanitation truck to the
neighborhood so the items on the curb can be searched before the truck arrives.
