wanarexic 

A term used by genuine sufferers of anorexia to describe someone who thinks anorexia is a lifestyle, and not a disease. Typical wanarexic behaviour can include:

1. Posting on pro-ana sites in places like LiveJournal about how they want to "become ana" to drop a few pounds for prom.

2. Referring to anorexia as a person or, in even more bizarre cases, a deity. The term "ana", when once a useful shortening, has been taken over by wanarexics to demonstrate their "devotion" to this "lifestyle".

3. Posting "thinspiration" pictures of skinny models and celebrities, and idolizing Mary-Kate Olsen, who reportedly suffers from anorexia.

4. The overall, unshaking belief that anorexia is a cool diet that will make you thin, popular and loved by all, and consequently a complete lack of comprehension as to the truth - that anorexia is a complex, crippling mental disease that can cause appalling long-term health complications, including brittle bones, chronic halitosis, lanugo (fur-like hair that covers the body to help keep it warm when there is not enough body fat to do the job), stomach ulcers, hair loss and loss of eyesight. And that's to say nothing of the psychological effects.

A similar term exists for people who fake bulimia: fauxlemic.

"dun call me a wanarexic or goddez aNar will zap j00 with her fat ray!"

wanarexic 

One who wishes to become anorexic. Generally a young female under 13 years of age who believes anorexia nervosa is a lifestyle choice rather than a mental illness. Often she makes an active decision to "start ana" in order to drop a few pounds. She may engage in anorexic behaviors such as self-starvation, but the root of her dieting is not the same as one who genuinely suffers from an eating disorder. Her desire to become anorexic may fade when she sees the true consequences... or when she sees a shiny object.

That girl wouldn't be such a wanarexic if she knew how painful eating disorders really are.

vannarexia cult 

A group of people who follow the "Vanna" way.
Vannarexia cult can be a number of things depending on what the cult leader sees as ethical, or unethical. Anorexia is one of the many practices of the cult.

"Dude, did you hear about the Vannarexia Cult? It's so badass. Cool people are in it!"

Someone who wishes or pretends they have an eating dissorder or deliberatley goes out of their way to make it look like the have anorexia.

"she apprently has an eating dissorder."

"Yeah but she's normal sized!"

"Oh yeah everyone knows shes a wannarexic."

Wanarexic 

Anyone who wants or pretends to have the eating disorder Anorexia. Can be used for anyone wanting, or lying about having any other eating disorder.

Most times these types of people are wanting acceptance to belong to any group, or they just want to shed some weight before summer, the prom, the winter ball, school social, or whatever occasion that calls for them to look their best. Often wanarexics are out for attention whether good or bad.

Most wanarexics get banned from websites because they have no idea what an eating disorder is or what it does to their body. Often times when people ask a wanarexic what their stats are, the wanarexic gives ridiculous BMI's or weights. Often times going as far as claiming to be someone they are not and stealing pictures and claiming it as their own.

Other names for wanarexics are: wana, wanna, fauxlimic, fauxlimia, or wanamia.

A person: "What eating disorder do you have?"
A wana: "Um..Anorexia."
A Person: "Oh really what's your Body Mass Index (BMI) then?"
A wana: "Um.. 26?"
A Person: "You CAN'T be a fat ANOREXIC! You're a wanarexic! Get lost!"

Wannarexic

a person who uses anorexic or bulimic tactics to lose weight but does not actually have an eating disorder; they simply want to lose weight so they use eating disorder-related strategies to lose the amount of weight that they want to

Dana wants to lose five pounds so she's decided be wannarexic and not to eat and work out for five hours a day for seven days.
