Third Eye 

Third Eye The minds eye, ones inner eye or the soul's eye. The third eye is associated with the practice of Kundalini or chakra meditation. It is the 6th energy center found in the chakra center system and is associated with the color indigo. The third eye is said to be the key to visions once someone is spiritually awakened. For example: Fortune tellers or mediums have the ability to use the third eye to see or know things the physical eyes can not.

It is said that all spiritual masters had succesfully unlocked their third eye.

People typically are not able to grasp this concept because it requires understanding the metaphor of the symbolism. The third eye is nothing mystical. It is an iconic symbol as defined by linguistic anthropologists since the actual idea of a third eye completely references the meaning of the symbol. The meaning is a bit of a metaphor. The Third Eye is what all of us can do when we close our eyes, and we are able to visualize anything in the world that we want to. We can see our goals in the future; we can imagine how parts of a car work in our head without ever looking inside of one. We are able to do this without seeing with our two eyes, and since we are still seeing something, then that must mean it's an eye we're seeing with. Hence, the third eye. We can train our minds to see more than what we used to through practice. Having a third eye wide open is synonymous with Hyperphantasia since that is it's medical term.

third eye blind

truly one of the best bands of all time. with their mix of unique instrumentals and original lyrics, they've managed to last well beyond their '90's contemporaries. popular songs included semi-charmed life, never let you go, jumper, how's it gonna be, and blinded. they have released 3 albums to date: third eye blind, blue, and out of the vein. ursa major, their next album, is set to release in spring '09, along with ursa minor (tracks that didn't make it onto the main album). an EP released in november '08 previewed some of the tracks, which hold true to third eye blind's style.

mostly appealing to the college and high school kids that grew up to their music, third eye blind definitely knows how to get a crowd going. they are set to tour this spring.

i highly recommend going to one of third eye blind's concerts

third eye blind

The best band ever. Some damn true lyrics that all can relate to and fucking beautiful music. There first album (self-titled) is their best yet. Their 2nd album "Blue" wasnt too goodbut had a few VERY good tracks. And their newest album "Out of the Vein" was not too bad, but their best shit is on their first album, and the lyrics are magic.
