musical reassurance

Refers to da cheerful/casual whistling/humming/singing dat you're always super-glad/relieved to hear emanating from a mechanic, carpenter, or other repairman as he's working on your in-need-of-fixing item, since this unflustered tune-making indicates that whatever mending/alterations which are required to restore your device are merely "all in a day's work" or "old hat" with him; i.e., he's confidently proceeding with the task and is not concerned that there will be any snags. problems, or delays in said repairs.
Hearing the gloriously-welcome musical reassurance from a service-person produces a similar radiant hopefulness that you experience from being present during an "Ohhhhhhh...!" moment, since in both cases you feel pleasantly relieved that your device is indeed not irreparably damaged/worn/aged, and therefore it will probably be up-and-running again in a fairly short time.

preassurance

The act of offering support or reassurance to someone before they have even expressed concern for the situation they are in. Sometimes a welcome gesture, but more often than not is not helpful to the situation and may worsten the concerns of the person or create concern where it previously did not exist.
Usually not a malicious gesture, sometimes just an act of ignorance.
Mike: "I'm asking Jenny out tonight!"
Tom: "Yeah man, I'm sure you'll be fine. She's probably dated fat guys with acne before and your breath isn't that bad"
Mike: "Thanks for the preassurance dude"

reinsurance shmeinsurance

reinsurance is a term to describe the practice of insurance companies re-insuring themselves against a risk so as to spread the possible effect of a large claim between more companies and therefore lessen its impact -the expression 'reinsurance shmeinsurance' was first used (by myself) to describe the lack of interest i felt when i spent a whole days training on the subject....
q: what did you think of todays training session?

a: aaaaah, reinsurance shmeinsurance!
