gamecube 

A console that has potential to do something great however, doesn't really do much to excecute. This is nothing to do with the fact that the games are often marketed to children (though Nintendo has said their self that they for the most part develop family games).

Gamecube has a very limited game selection. I can count one FPS and three RPGS that I have seen on GCN (that I have seen. I'm almost sure that there is more).

Call me Nintendo Basher if you wish. However, I grew up with Nintendo. I am a big fan of the original NES and SNES which are both better consoles than GCN

Me: Gamecube is okay as far as a console goes but it's game selection is to limited.

Video Game N00b: You are a Nintendo Basher.

Me: Really, if you think you are a Nintendo fan then name three games from Nintendo's classic consoles.

In Fable, although the game is developed by Big Blue Box and this is obviously a reference to the company that made the game, there is a legend about the first man choosing which world his people would live in. He had a choice between a large blue box, and a small red box. Believing the latter represented the sun, he chose the large blue cube. The gods, knowing the true differences between the two, revealed that the red box had only enough room for all the good in the world, and the blue box had room for all the good and the evil, and that the man had damned his people to life as we knew it in the dark ages. My point is, GameCube was a big blue box, full of some good things (Resident Evil 4, Zelda, Mario, SSBM...), but over stuffed with horrible things (i.e. Barbie Games, Generic Japanese Anime RPGs).

disenfranchisedgamerboy1: Man, I wish Nintendo had taken the small red box approach--I mean, the GameCube could have better represented Nintendo as something small, red, and boxy-- so I wouldn't accidentally make friends with those other gamers who play Xbox and PS2 and end up spending money on those systems.

GameCube 

1. A GameCube is a word to describe a woman that is particulary ugly in appearance. This comes from the fact that the X-box or Play Station 2 are much better consoles that came out around the same time as the GameCube.

2. It can also be in reference to meeting a girl for the first time and she being not what one expects. This comes fro when a child wants an X-box for X-mas and his parents telling him that he might get one. The child inturn gets his hopes up to unfortunately open a GameCube and GameCube's are gay (see first meaning)

1. Guy 1, "Did you pick up last night at the party?"
Guy 2, "Yeh i reeled in a few GameCubes, hopefully next time it will be an X-box."

2. Man 1, "How was that chick that Nic set you up with?"
Man 2, "It was a GameCube, i dumped that shit as soon as i could."
