If someone is "dedicated", they will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve their goal, no matter what the outcome and even at the expense of others. It could also mean when someone is trying far too hard at something.

Yes, I might have 6 cats but I don't spend my days in my dressing gown and curlers, I have a normal life, I just happen to love my cats more than most people so prefer the term Dedicated Feline Enthusiast.
