A word used by the disciples of Kagura Bachi to finish off a statement. It is usually put at the end of a statement, and does not have anything to do with the content said before it. It has no official meaning.

Various pronunciations of Tenoi have come up, with the most commonly used being 'ten-oy', but 'ten-oh-ee' and 'ten-waa' are also accepted and used.

An unofficial definition of Tenoi was made up by Reddit user u/al_fletcher, consisting of the characters for "heavenly monarch, "天皇", and the characters for a rank or position, "位". This roughly translates to "the Emperor's rank", which could be seen as meaning peak.

treholt, a word Norwegians are not very proud of having given to the world: it derives from Arne Treholt, a notorious Norwegian traitor who collaborated with the communists during the Cold War and who was convicted of spying for the KGB in 1985 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
