Recaf

When you're on decaffeinated coffee for a few days and things are going well, but you have one bad night so need to hit regular coffee the next day (similar to detox/retox).

"Decaf isn't going to cut it, I need to Recaf".

Yesterday's coffee, redux. That half-cup of coffee left in the French Press, the sludge you reheat in the microwave so you'll have something to sip on while the fresh pot is steeping.

Sandi: Did you make coffee?
Mark: Working on it... I just poured water into the French press.
Sandi: Oh, I thought I saw you drinking some already.
Mark: It's recaf; want some?
Sandi: No thanks, I'll wait.
Mark: Oh, so now you're a coffeescenti, eh?

I don't recall

A rather poor safety net that is often used by the guilty when they testify before congress. The degree to which the testifier uses this phrase often indicates how much they have to hide. This phrase was recently made famous by Alberto Gonzales when he testified in April of 2007.

Alberto Gonzales used the old "I don't recall" trick 71 times when he testified before congress the other day. That means he's really guilty or really stupid. Most likely both.
