Quarterthon 

One quarter of one marathon. 6.575 miles. For those who can't run a marathon or half a marathon. A stepping stone type thing.

I've just started jogging. I'm training for my first quarterthon.

Quarterphoria 

The euphoric feeling one gets upon receiving five dollars or more worth of quarters from the change machine, even though they haven't gained any money.

quartertone 

Person who is sitting in a public place, usually unaware that s/he is taking up two desired spaces, and later dozes off, legs spreadeagled and head lolling from one side to the other, further preventing access to those spaces. "Quartertone" comes from a musical term for tones that fall "between the cracks" on a piano keyboard, common in Asia but infrequent in music on our side of the globe.

I couldn't get a seat on the bus because some quartertone was sitting between the divider on the bench and nodding off!
