rcmp applicants

RCMP Applicant; a person who applies to become a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer

While awaiting the various steps needed in becoming a RCMP Officer, RCMP applicants/ candidates go through all kinds of emotions, i.e "did I disclose everything, am I fully prepared for panel interview; what about the PARE (fitness test)", and so many other things; potentially driving themselves crazy with uncertainty, anxiety, and confidence! Everything they require in order to proceed!

Only candidates know this; thus others, as supportive as they may be, don't understand; sometimes suggesting "maybe you should be a teacher, or a carpenter etc.!

waker upper

term used when in need of a wake up call; slang term used instead of the traditional wake up call; can you give me a waker upper in the morning; when someone needs a favour; needs that important call; whereas they're usually sleeping, and don't want to miss school, work, meeting etc..

person 1: "I have to get up early tomorrow, can you give me a waker upper call"!

person 2: "oh for sure; would you like that in the form of a call or text"?

CUPW

The union has approximately 54,000 members and has a long history of militancy originating in 1965 when the union was formed out of the old Canadian Postal Employees Association.

CUPW - they are there to protect members to the fullest! Protection which includes, bullying, harassment, intimidation, and my favourite, wrongful dismissal! CUPW does a amazing job protecting workers!
