When someone, in a last-ditch effort to get rid of a virus, deletes everything completely off a computer and reinstalls windows.
Origin: When trying to combat illnesses, the CDC or variant for that country will set things on fire to contain the spread of infection. They will burn dead bodies, towns, clothes, food, and even the ground with flamethrowers if there is a reason to believe the virus/bacterium could survive in dirt.

Shard
Verb.
Gamer slang meaning "to destroy" something.
Origin: In world of warcraft, one could destroy gear and turn it into jewel shards. Which could be sold for alot of money. When someone's account got hacked, the hacker would "shard" all the gear and sell the shards. They would then send the gold to themselves, or a stranger as a last fuck you to the player. This was also done by chinese companies who sell game gold online for real money.

3. Shorter term for High School.
4. The type of Lander in which there can only be one.
5. Most importantly and commonly used as an adjective to indicate that a person is under the influence of a controlled substance. It can be applied to any drug as long as it is not commonly supplied for recreational use. For something to be a drug, it has to be a chemical with an active effect on the body without being a nutrient, vitamin or mineral. So one can get high on fumes, medications, plant chemicals like THC, Fungal toxins found in mushrooms, synthetic chemicals like LSD, fermented waste materials, and animal biochemicals like adrenogland secretions. Please note that nicotine and alcohol use are not indicated by the word "high." For alcohol, the word used is "drunk" and for nicotine, the effect is so mild, it is almost never referred to at all.

Ozarks
The Ozarks (also referred to as Ozarks Mountain Country, the Ozark Mountains, and the Ozark Plateau) are a physiographic and geologic highland region of the central United States. It covers much of the southern half of Missouri and an extensive portion of northwestern and north central Arkansas. The region also extends westward into northeastern Oklahoma and extreme southeastern Kansas.
It is used in slang to mean somewhere that is particularly hillbilly-esque, remote, or home to rednecks. Think of the movie "Deliverance." If you are in the Ozarks, you WILL be raped by hillbillies.
