In video games backtracking is when you have to move through 'finished' areas which you already went through to be able to progress.
All this backtracking sucks! Couldn't the level designers place the red door closer to the red key?
A function assigned to a key in computer games which allows manual saving of the game without having to enter the game menu.
1. Let's just quicksave real quick before fighting all those enemies so I can load if I lose a hit point
or waste too much ammo
2. I died and forgot to quicksave before! Now I have to backtrack
through the whole level!
