A close friend who, in the event of your death, will remove any and all embarassing personal items from your home you do not wish family to see. i.e. Pornography, sex toys or drug paraphernalia. The shovel buddy is allowed to keep or destroy these items and is ideally alerted by a loud horn.

Examples include, "Live, Laugh, Love", "Dance like nobody's watching" or any test over a black and white image most commonly found on Tumblr, Instagram or the Facebook pages of girls and women aged 14-28.
After her boyfriend broke up wit her, Brittany posted fauxspirational quotes on her Instagram so everyone would think she was happy and moving on when in fact she spent every night holding his picture and crying.
