The responding party who attended tells the person that basically she was better off for having been absent. My experience this weekend when I attended a good friend's son's wedding. Bummer of a weekend. My partner stated she wished she had been there. While I missed being with her, I would rather have been where SHE was than at this dud of a wedding.
