When two people who dislike each other engage in passive-aggressive combat that makes everyone else in the room uncomfortable.
The party-planning meeting turned into a Squirmish when Nancy and Patty kept shooting down each other's ideas for Halloween treat day.

Auto-Repleasantry 

An automatic reply of "you too" to a pleasantry when it doesn't apply to the other person.
I gave the guy at the front desk at the gym an auto-repleasantry when he said "have a good workout."

EXAMPLE:

Ticket-taker at movie theatre: Enjoy the show.

Me: You too
