when a life changing obstacle comes between two people in a relationship that causes them to break up and become friends even though they wish they were dating

Joe and Jane are dating. Jane has to move out of state. They try to make it work but they can't pull it off. Even though they love each other,they are forced to become friends. Joe and Jane are now frenting.
