The mental state of being unable to organize one's thoughts toward a goal, being unenergetic to begin and complete a task, being mentally sluggish causing an inability to show up, concentrate on a subject, and complete the assignment be it for school or work. It is also characterized by a paucity or lack of creativity to solve a problem or create a work of literature or art.
Before he was formally diagnosed with depression, the psychologist suggested he may be suffering from dysmensoria, a precursor to depression and a sign he was slipping into clinical listlessness.

The level of and the extent to which a person's mind is organized and able to focus on tackling and completing the tasks of successful living, such paying taxes or bills or filling out applications for a job or for college. Also how creative a person can be if they are an artist.
