Johassa blir sett på som en raritet i skogen fordi hun er en vegetarianer, men likevel blir hun respektert og elsket av de andre dyrene for hennes omsorgsfulle og hjelpsomme natur. En dag hjelper Johassa dyrene i skogen ved å bruke en magisk sopp til å få vannet i elven til å stige igjen etter en tørkeperiode.
