freshman flop 

An instance where a freshman (mostly in high school) walks up stairs in their new, unfamiliar school building and trips on the last step, falling flat on the floor. The victim only hopes that they catch their fall with their hands and that nobody was watching.

Don't get embarrassed. We all did the freshman flop in that narrow stairwell once.

domestic commie 

Someone who is either selfish or selfless by the fact that when one member of the household receives a gift that it should be used and enjoyed by everyone.

1. Call me a domestic commie, but I want a nice jacket that will fit both my sister and myself for my birthday.
2. Looks like dad is going domestic commie this Christmas. He's putting the plasma T.V. in the living room!
