This used to mean laugh out loud but honestly nowadays most people aren’t laughing out loud when they respond with lol. They probably don’t even think what you said was funny, just amusing.

a comeback to literally anything. People typically say this when they relate to what someone just said.

“I”m literally so tired. I stayed up all night last night”. “Same”.
