An ethical rule that states that before an individual can start calling out other people for making discriminatory comments or performing biased actions against minorities, the individual must first acknowledge and deal with their own implicit and explicit biases, as well as effectively manage their emotions, so they can lead by example. This includes recognizing biases that are not typically viewed as being part of social justice. (That means you must confront biases like Privilege of the Living and Political Identity Privilege.) It is recommended that when calling someone out over biased comments or behavior that you try to so in a calm and polite manner, so they are less likely to feel attacked, and to avoid supporting the stereotypes about social justice supporters spread by some far-right wing political commentators. Basically, if you expect other people to listen to you and change their behavior in order to be less biased, then you have to be willing to deal with your own biases and privilege and control your emotions.
The social justice two-way expectation rule is an important ethical responsibility for any person considering standing up to discrimination, because if you don’t deal with your own biases first, then a lot of people will ignore you due to the fact you don’t practice what you preach. Failing to deal with your biases prior to calling someone out can also negatively impact the views of social justice in other people as they may see the movement as being just being all talk, without producing any real results.

Political free runner

Abbreviated P.F.R.; An individual who does not identify as a supporter for particular political party. They are called this because of how they usually make their own path that is consistent with their values and world views instead of just going by views held by other people, which is similar to what a free runner does when trying to move through an area.
Yassin does not strongly favor any political party over the others. They have made their own unique identity based on their values and beliefs. Yassin is a political free runner.

Political evolution

1: A phrase used to refer to how a specific political ideology or the beliefs of a particular political party has changed over time
An example of political evolution would be the Republican’s views on environmental issues. In the past, Republicans used to take a more aggressive approach by actively making policies and laws that would protect the environment from harm as you can observe based on the work done by U.S. President Richard Nixon. As time passed, as demonstrated by the work of U.S. President Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan, Republicans shifted to strongly favoring deregulation and eliminating or weakening environmental protections.

Politically Conscious

When an individual is fully aware of what is happening in the government and society, what various individuals, organizations, businesses, social movements, and political parties’ agendas, beliefs, and actions are on numerous policy issues, as well as understanding how these beliefs and activities can affect them, their family, community, and various groups of individuals in society and mobilizing socially, financially, and politically when needed in effort correct actions that are unreasonably discriminatory towards certain groups, regardless of whether or not it is part of the social justice movements. It is important to realize that politically conscious people mobilize on a wider array of issues than people who identify as being politically woke; meaning there is a strong difference between how people who identify as being politically woke manifest and handle various social and political problems compared to people who identify as being politically conscious. Sometimes they choose not to take part of a particular social movement even while mobilizing on an issue that movement deals with because they realize that movement is prone to having certain problems that they find to be unreasonably discriminatory and or unethical.
Yasmine is aware of what is happening in the government and society, including what various business leaders and politicians are up to. They have mobilized on many occasions to try to correct social and political wrongs committed by the government, certain celebrities, and organizations. They mobilize on issues related to gender equality, LGBTQA rights, racial equality, disability rights, mental health, animal welfare, improving legal protections for deceased individuals, and increasing political diversity by trying to get more politicians from nonmainstream political parties elected. While they support the Me Too movement, they don’t back the Its on Us campaign because of the political bias that movement has. They consider themself to be politically conscious.

political shadow

1. A government employee whose job is not viewed to be particularly important by most of the people who don’t work for the government that run into them, but their role plays an important function in keeping the government running efficiently and effectively. Usually, their employer or the individual/s who run the department or agency, because of their position in the government, work in the public spotlight, while political shadows tend to work more in the background, or in other words in the shadows, where they are seldom noticed by the general public. Often times these people either work in jobs where they don't deal with people that often, or they work in jobs where they deal with people frequently, but their role is frequently viewed as being less important than the role held by their employer.
2. The political impact an individual or group has on the world around them
1. Dave is a political shadow. He is a policy analysist who works for the U.S. Representative Aderholt. Most of the people who encounter him don't think his role is anywhere near as important as the role his employer has in the U.S. Government; yet without Dave, the policies would not be written that well and may not be as effective in achieving what the law was intended to do. Hence, he plays a very important role in ensuring the government operates in an effective manner.
2: Alexandra has a large political shadow because of the large number of Black Lives Matter protests and women's marches she has attended over the past four to five years; along with the numerous times she has lobbied political officials on various issues related to gender equality, gun control, racial justice, education, and the Covid-19. She has a very large political impact on the world around her.
