Saying fuck you to everyone that welcomed you in to their city, and being as inflammatory as possible towards them.

He/she wanted people to know that any respect he/she had for them or their town had been overrun.

To run over.

It wasn't like they ever really had any respect for people to overrun, they just pretended to long enough to try and get the upper hand on them.

Hoppin 

Hoppin like a rabbit.

Her labor day party was hoppin, she served a little surf and turf (or had someone do it for her) and as always, there was a crowd.

Suburban 

Suburban is sub-urban, almost urban but not urban.

The people describing the area like they knew it like the back of their hand hadn't been there 20 or 30 years ago, when the area they were describing was nowhere near urban or even suburban (sub-urban), it was the country, or as some would call it rural.

Suburban 

Suburban is sub-urban, not quite the country not quite the city.

The area they described as having long, winding suburban roads wasn't anything like what they were describing 20 or 30 years ago, though if they got there or visited recently, they wouldn't know that. It was a city the size of Omaha or somewhere like Omaha, surrounded by small towns and long, winding country roads that few people if anybody lived on. If you went back one hundred years the city itself had been a small town in the middle of the country. It was only when people from suburban places like Florida and California wanted the area to look like where they were from and invested in making it look that way that it started to look more like Florida or California.

Dr. Robotnik 

A character that would fire a gun when there was one available.

Jim Carrey would have to get past his hesitancy about firing a gun on screen to do Dr. Robotnik right. He would also have to use the same adult voice he used when his mother and father weren't looking that he used as a kid, kind of like Boss Baby. People might not look at him the same afterward, but that would be true to the evil nature of Dr. Robotnik.

Dr. Robotnik 

A character that would fire guns.

If Jim Carrey is really as much like Dr. Robotnik as he seems to think he is, he'd have to get past his hesitancy about firing guns to be true to the character of Dr. Robotnik, even if he's a cartoonish video game character.
