Get the Languagesmug. What nobody cares people start when you mention their nobody cares mentality. Usually they ask for a donation to their charity, and they say they're gonna feed kids in another country that are 50 pounds underweight for their age, or elderly folks who survived a famine and a plague. They think of this as what good natured/willed people do, and think everyone will think they are wonderful and good natured and that nobody will question it.
He/she started a million dollar charity with donations (collections) to feed hungry kids and elderly folks, what would you like to bring to the table? $25? $50?

Get the Mayberrymug. Somewhere a lot of people think they've been, but haven't. When people describe somewhere where there's no tormented souls, its not hell they're describing, its usually just a little purgatory. People get purgatory confused with hell since there's a lot of waiting and a slow pace, especially if they don't know what true hell is like.

They want to be taken seriously, that's why they're saying what they're saying the way they're saying it. When someone wants to get respect, or be respected, they'll say/do just about anything to get what they want, just like people will say/do just about anything to get money or anything else they want.
