1. Acronym for Laugh Out Loud. not pronounced 'loll' (rhymes with 'roll') as some (idiots) think. Say each letter seperately. L-O-L.

2. Often overused acronym while chatting online. It also has somehow found it's way into spoken vocabulary, and you now can hear people saying "LOL" instead of actually laughing.

1. sara101: like, omg! today i ate a pie!
janie101: like, omg! LOL! lol, same thing happened to me!

2. Sara: *slips and falls* ow!
Jane: LOL you are a klutz!
(that night chatting online)
sara101: like omg! lol, remember when i fell 2day?? lol!!
janie101: lol! yeah! lol! you are a KlUtZ!! LOL! lol!
sara101: lol, lol! haha lol!
