to make one's innapropriate actions or beliefs more believable by citing scripture.

The Bible says "that the worse curse of a liar is that he believes his own lies," said a preacher to Comedian and Social Commentator, Al Franken, on an airplane. Per Al Franken, this would be the highest form of an "assholification" as that quote is not in the Bible...its just a nice quote. See also assholicity.
