N.S.S. (North Side Soldiers)

A Detroit-based graffiti and street crew that emerged in the mid-2010s on the city’s North and Northwest Sides. Known for tagging, block-style graffiti, and neighborhood affiliation, N.S.S. was one of the early crews tied to the rise of the 5 Point Nation Crips alliance.

Over time, the crew splintered — some members evolved into what is now the Northside Gutta Ave Crips (NSC), while others continued repping the original N.S.S. name and legacy in their respective neighborhoods.

ATB / PSB

ATB (Across The Bridge) – Detroit Westside Crip clique from the Midwest neighborhood (ZIP 48204), mainly around Joy Rd. & Livernois. Also known as 282 or PSB (sub-clique). Part of Rollin’ 20s Crips, ATB has over 15 years of street presence, recognized for local block influence and rivalries with TMCNE, 43PBF, Cashgang, and Omerta.

W/S 107 Hoover Criminal Gang

Also known as Selos or just 107 Hoovers, this South Central L.A. Hoover set been active since the mid-70s, reppin’ around 107th & Normandie. Known for their long-standing war with the Rollin’ 100s and other Crip sets, that beef made the area nicknamed “Death Alley” by the L.A. Times ’cause of how deep the violence runs. They beef with most Blocc and Neighborhood Crips but rock with other Hoover sets like 112HCG.

These days, the 107 Hoovers got expansion sets and affiliates in cities across the U.S., from Texas to the Midwest—spreading that orange flag far past L.A. County.

West Chicago Insane GDs / WCR IGD

Detroit-based Insane Gangster Disciples set formerly active around West Chicago Rd. and Wyoming. Known for the “2-15-19” BOS tag and a crooked “I” symbolizing “Insane.” Their graffiti clashed with local Vice Lords over turf and respect. Likely defunct.

Garden View Estates

A modern housing complex on Detroit’s Westside, built on the site of the old Herman Gardens projects. Seen as a symbol of neighborhood renewal, it mixes townhomes and apartments while carrying the legacy of the area’s past struggles and resilience.
