'Most Influential LARPer' as voted in November of 2016 by theLARP Haven group (a large online organization with over 6,000 members, dedicated to discussion of live action roleplaying), Tyson Hood is a vociferous supporter of costuming, of community, and good sanitation, and is well known online. He is also the subject of many memes ('The Darkest Venue', 'LARP Requires Costuming', 'Satyr Magic Horn Man'.)

Dude, a t-shirt with 'Expensive Suit' taped to it written on a card? Tyson Hood would not approve.

The Darkest Venue

A reference to Changeling: the Lost, an RPG venue played in the Mind's Eye Society, the official LARP of White Wolf. The term was coined by Tyson Hood, referring to how Changeling was a much 'darker' venue than Vampire. It's spread throughout the subculture widely.

Changeling is, without a doubt, the darkest venue.
