cheese-toaster

A sword.

Adumbrated in Shakespeare, Henry V, II, Nym: "... I will wink and hold out mine iron. It is a simple one; but what though? It will toast cheese, and it will endure cold as another man's sword will."
The knight stared menacingly at his enemy, before unsheathing his cheese-toaster and charging.

Kikyou

A female character in the popular anime/manga series, InuYasha. Inuyasha's first love, Kikyou was a priestess who watched over the sacred Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls). After Kikyou and Inuyasha fell into a trap set by the cunning Onigumo, Kikyou sealed Inuyasha to a tree and died, the Shikon Jewel vanishing with her. Later reincarnated into a modern-day high school girl named Kagome who released Inuyasha from the tree, Kikyou was ressurected by the ogress, Urasue.

Although Kikyou doesn't appear in every episode, she has a huge presence within the series. In her heart she carries enormous hatred, but also enormous love for Inuyasha.

Kikyou is named after the balloonflower, which carries the meaning, "unchanging love."

Alternate spelling: Kikyo.
"Once she goes through death and comes back, her spirit and soul, which were shaped by the restrictions of the role of the priestess and doing what's right, were set free. Now she can wander wherever her emotions take her." - Director Misahi Ikeda

no dice

1. A rejection or refusal.

2. An explanation that something did not occur.

In either instance, "no dice" is used to indicate that there is no chance or probability of the event happening. Dice represents the likelyhood of whatever item taking place (by the roll of the die), and not having dice means that there is not even a slim chance.
1.
Boy: Will you go out with me?
Girl: No dice. (No chance in hell.)

2.
"I was hoping that I would run into her at the park, but no dice." (She was not at the park, therefore there was never any possibility.)

InuYasha

1. The hit anime/manga series by Rumiko Takahashi that focuses on a half-demon named Inuyasha and his companions as they fight to collect the shards of the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls).

2. The main character in the hit anime/manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. Inuyasha is half-demon, half-human, and seeks control of the sacred Shikon no Tama in order to become a full-fledged demon.

"Impatient and self-centered, he was in love with Kikyo, a priestess of the Jewel."

Inuyasha has an inferiority-complex towards his older half brother (and full demon) Sesshomaru, as well as some sibling rivalry involving the sword Tetsusaiga Inuyasha inherited from their father.

The name 'Inuyasha' comes from the words 'inu', meaning dog, and 'yasha', which is a forest-spirit.
"'Inuyasha' is also a rare name." - Kappei Yamaguchi, Japanese voice of Inuyasha
