Stands for Full Wave Rectified is a type of Electrical Current. A wave goes up to the maximum and decreases to 0 and repeats, the frequency depends on whether the line input of the AC to FWR converter is 60hz or 50hz. FWR is used for a few real-life applications for DC devices instead of a clean DC current however it can mess up some DC devices. You can convert FWR into DC using a Capacitor. DC unlike FWR is a clean straight line with no movement.
You need to power that device on DC instead of FWR for it to work right.

A name for the Wheelock ET70WP Fire Alarm Speaker Strobe is used by members of the fire alarm community and the person who started named them ganna's got the term from his school's Spanish voice evacuation message which has ganna in it and uses these speaker strobes.
My school uses Gannas for its outdoor fire alarms. My ganna has a really really bright strobe.
