Bus Buddy

A person you only ever see/talk to on the bus, who you don't quite consider a friend, but are friendly to.

Person A: Hey! You're my new bus buddy!
Person B: Yeah!

(Person A never invites Person B out or to hang out with friends, but talks to Person B about everything whilst riding the bus)
