If someone has an adaptive perspective, it basically means that they change their point of view of something depending on who they are around, mainly to impress them (e.g. different point of view in front of your friends and your girlfriend). In most cases, having an adaptive perspective won't end well, but someone being told this will more than likely dismiss this claim with the words "it'll be fine".
Girlfriend: I hope the Packers get beat this week, don't you?
Me: (pause) Yeah of course. by the way, i won't be here this weekend because I have an important business trip that i have to go to.
Girlfriend: Oh OK then.
Girlfriend to my friends: Did you hear about that business trip that John had to go to this weekend?
One of my friends: What business trip? He told me that he got tickets to the Packers game!
Girlfriend: He hates the Packers though!
Friend: The Packers are his favorite team in the NFL. Must be his adaptive perspective again.
Girlfriend: That's it, he's in for it!

A pantry meal (also can be referred to by the individual meal, such as pantry lunch), is a meal that you have that is just made up of small portions of a large range of different foods. Pantry meals are common when leaving for a long holiday, or when someone just can't be bothered making a proper meal. Pantry meals can really be made up of anything, but more commonly foods that are perishable (such as ice-cream, chocolate). They are often unhealthy as well.
Did i tell you about the awesome pantry meal that i had a few days after Christmas?

No???

It was awesome, i had half a box of pringles, a chocolate bar, 4 pieces of bread and the last bit of the Christmas pudding, probably the best meal that i had all year!

Cool. But how did you only have half a box of pringles?

I only had half a box then, i was too full after the Christmas pudding, but i had three more after.

Ok then

Someone who is at home watching a sport event (such as football etc.) on television at home and thinks that they know how to play the sport better than those that are actually competing. This leads to unnecessary yelling of comments towards the screen, which the athletes can not hear anyway.
A couch coach can be any sort of television sport spectator, but is often someone that lacks any real sporting ability.
Derived from the television environment (couch) and the constant yelling similar to that of a coach. Also just a fun spin on the classic "couch potato".
*PASS THE BALL! COME ON! PASS THE BALL!*

When you have not used Urban Dictionary for a while and next time you use it you spend ages just looking through "word of the day" definitions.
Person 1: What took you so long?
Person 2: Had a fair bit of Urban Dictionary Backlog to go through. Know what I mean?
Person 1: Yeah, it's a shame.
