Definition: Trenting (verb)

/ˈtrent·iŋ/

The act of asserting unnecessary authority or making patronizing judgments — often under the guise of “safety” or “rules” — especially toward people simply trying to enjoy themselves. Usually performed by someone in a minor position of power, like a security guard or hall monitor, who thinks they’re in an action movie.
Example Sentences:
• “We were just dancing, and the bouncer started Trenting out of nowhere.”
• “He was Trenting so hard, you’d think he was guarding the Pentagon instead of checking wristbands at a bingo bar.”

Seagulling (verb)
/ˈsē-ˌgil-iŋ/
1. The art of orbiting someone you secretly (or not-so-secretly) want, without committing to actual interaction—just circling, watching, and occasionally swooping in to drop a cryptic comment.
2. Often performed by people who want to be noticed but still keep the upper hand… or their dignity.
“She’s been seagulling me all week—everywhere I turn, there she is, pretending to check her phone but clearly tracking my every move.”
