Digital Salute

noun - a salute is a sign of respect. It is also a traditional way of showing your hand to make it obvious that you do not have a weapon in it so are not threatening.
A digital salute is a friendlier version of that - needing only a single finger. The middle one. Usually served with beer & friends.

Safety beer

During session drams (spirits), to take a safety break from the strong drink routine & slow down the alcohol intake with a beer.

The Legendary On Call Team around the Wedderlea Firepit: “aye, time for another round of nips”
The Bad Man: “I think I’m getting ahead of the project timeline here with the drams - I’ll just have a wee safety beer for now”
