To brutally kick or stamp on someone whilst they are on the ground in the manner of Robert Deniro's portrayal of Jimmy Conway in the film Goodfellas, where they were murdering Billy Batts.

The original meaning snerd has, ever since the early 80's been a word used to describe a man who goes round sniffing women's bike saddles.
