Simple shit 

People can be simple shits or simpletons, too. Think of simple shit as a person, not as a thing.

Even that simple shit could understand what was happening. If that simple shit figures it out, it will be a miracle. Even a simple shit has lucid days. Honey, that simple shit will never know the light of day.
