metonymy 

(Gr. metonymia "changing of name") is a trope in which the name of a thing is replaced by the name of an associated thing. One name is used instead of another.
the following types of metonymy are differentiated:
1. the abstract stands foe the concrete
2. the container is mentioned instead of the contents
3. the material instead of the thing made of it
4. the maker of the thing made
5. the instrument is put for the agent
6. a part is put for the whole (synecdoche)
he had several Picassos (paintings of Picasso). (metonymy)

A term which describes a musical performer who is perfectly to time and plays in a robotic fashion. This includes but is not limited to piano players.
The piano part of Bohemian Rhapsody is absolutely incredible. The way Freddie Mercury plays it is metronomic.
