Touta Matsuda

Touta Matsuda also known as Taro Matsui is a character in an anime/manga Death Note. He is a member of the japanese police and the kira task force. He isn`t like others as he isn`t as experianced as the other officers. He seems to be lacking behind the others, but proves worthy of a gun after shooting Light Yagami aka Kira. Matsuda isn`t treated as nice as he should be treated and is looked down on, therefore causing his actions at the Yotsuba group; only after being " Misa`s manager. " His actions at Yotsuba only lead him into almost getting killed by Kira at the time, which happened to be Higuchi. Therefore Matsuda seems to be a clutz when having to fake his death by " falling " out of a window. Matsuda seems to be a huge fan of Misa Amane and seems to be devestated after losing the role of her manager. He also seems to have a crush on Light`s sister Sayu Yagami; but Mr. Yagami disproves and says that Sayu will never be allowed to date a police officer. Matsuda`s birthday, which is probably unimportant to most is December 14th.
Touta Matsuda: L, is there anything I can help with in the Kira case ?
L: Yes, go get me some coffee.

mastodon

Mastodon is:

Brann Dailor - Drums
Brent Hines - Guitar and Vocals
Troy Sanders - Bass and Vocals
Bill Kelliher - Guitars

Mastodon is metal act hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. They simply defy categorization, but if I were to attempt to label them, it would be something along the lines of prog-death/sludge, but that's pretty insufficient. The band draws inspiration from lots of different bands, so to truly understand Mastodon, you must hear Mastodon.

Their latest release, Leviathan, is a concept album that doesn't suck, which is worthy of praise for this alone. It's based on the story of Moby Dick. The band never sounds confined to the story, as thematic elements of the novel are addressed without summarizing the novel. This release is remarkably ambient, unlike their previous full-length, Remission. Every track is different and the CD may take a few listens to fully appreciate all that the band has to offer. The musicianship is top-notch; although the guitarist and the bassist (also vocalist) are completely proficient, the drummer steals the show. He's a master on the skins, providing some of the most exciting fills that perfectly fit the song. His excellence never comes off as 'showy', and at times, some of the more simpler stuff he plays is the most impressive.

In addition to the aforementioned full-length release Remission, Mastodon has an earlier LP, Lifesblood.
If you don't appreciate Mastodon, you're either a faggot, an indie kid, or a kvlt kiddie. Either way, you're fucking gay.

Mastodon

The new kings of the heavy metal world. They are a prog-sludge metal fusion, with their earlier releases leaning towards sludge metal and their later releases leaning towards a prog-sludge fusion.

Their 2004 albumn Leviathan is a classic record and their 2006 albumn Blood Mountain launched them into the mainstream. They have a new albumn, Crack the Skye, coming out Spring 2009.

All of their albums center around a different element and story 9with the exception of Remission, which loosely focuses on fire). Remission is fire, Leviathan is water, Blood Mountain is earth, and Crack the Skye focuses on aether.

Not a crotchety old guy who bombs the crap out of people
Wow that guy is such a Matson because he isn’t a crotchety old guy who bombs the crap out of people.
Coming from a character from the Anime series Death Note, a Matsuda is an endearingly inept individual who tries too hard at his job and ends up only making things worse. There are rare occasions when his impulsive behavior moves things forward, but these are far and few between. He is, however, the best at getting coffee for his co-workers.
Guy 1: How's the new guy doing?

Guy 2: I dunno, man, he's a real Matsuda.
