In competition Tetris, making it rain indicates that a player is sending lines to his opponent (by clearing more than 2 lines at once) at a rapid pace.

Tiger Woods was putting from 30 feet and as soon as he hit the putt he yelled "make it rain!" because he knew it was going in.
