How about that!

A statement Kelly Dodd states after she puts someone in their place and had their tail put between their legs
Turn yourself and look in the mirror, how about that!

How about that weather?

Used as a diversion to a conversation in attempt to change a subject when it gets awkward.
Person 1: Awesome night last night
Person 2: Yeah was heaps fun, especially that part when you fell over on the d floor
Person 1: Hhahahaa yeah how embarrassing, not as bad as you mackin on with that fugly guy
Person 2: Yeah so how about that weather?

How about that apple

A personal twist on the expression “how do you like them apples?

“How about that apple” refers to one specific detail or moment, making it more pointed and situationally relevant than the general phrase
Nonchalant dude: “You said I wouldn’t pass that calc final.”
Chad: “I mean, it was brutal…”
Nonchalant dude (holding up paper with an A): “Yeah? How about that apple?”

So, how about that local sports team?

A phrase uttered after an awkward silence to break the tension, but it usually ends up making the situation more awkward or ends with people laughing
Person A: I think I killed her when I knocked her down

*Awkward silence*

Person B: So, how about that local sports team?....

*Longer awkward silence*
