fobbiness

n. the quality of being a FoB (Fresh off the Boat Asian immigrant) Usually characterized by wearing UNIQLO or Hang Ten brands, drinking pearl milk tea, and listening to Asian pop music on an MP3 player with mostly pirated songs. The adjective form is "fobby." The fobbier someone is, the worse their English is. Once someone has been in the US long enough to speak English, they're no longer "fresh" and they become stale FoBs.
An aura of fobbiness exuded around the Cal exchange students singing Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats in their broken English, and I couldn't help but laugh.

A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
