Young Duece

Young Duece is an American hip hop and record production duo whom in 2005 formed to create their first full length album, “The Beginning of the End” after splitting from rival groups.

Previn Millard Ricks, Jr (born July 25, 1990), better known by the stage name PJ aka Da Truth was born and raised in Forest Park, Ohio, a northern suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. He writes lyrics, produces beats, and also engineers their songs.

George David Clark, III (born September 10, 1990), better known by the stage name Kidd Flow was born and raised on the west side of Dayton, Ohio. He relocated to the Cincinnati area in 2001 with his mother and siblings. He writes lyrics, produces beats, does graphic design work and handles their viral activity.

The duo has released four albums and five mixtapes. Being that they have always been their own writers, producers, and engineers, each project shows constant progression. They continue to give away their mixtape collection for free while the albums are available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Napster, etc.

They have shared the stage with popular artists such as Nappy Roots, Curren$y, Afroman, Mac Miller and more.

They’ve been featured on Talib Kweli’s "Blacksmith Community Mixtape" (Hosted by DJ Mick Boogie) and Zion-I's "The Search and The Seizure" mixtape after AmpLive heard the song made to his remix of Radiohead's "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi", which was on his popular Rainydayz Remixes album.
They have produced for other artists under their production company Nu Theory Productions including Twank Star (T-Pain/Nappy Boy Entertainment recording artist) and YouTube celebrity Traphik's "Rush Hour" EP, which featured other popular artists such as Nikki Jean, Wax, D-Pryde and Lil Crazed. Surprisingly, the record was created all within a week's time.

Young Duece has done production on soundtracks for potential motion pictures (High School Sucks the Musical) as well.

Clark was a "Top 10 Finalist" in the first ever Berklee College of Music/Essence Magazine "Take Back the Music" national song writing competition in 2006, featuring celebrity judges MC Lyte, ?uestlove and DJ Jazzy Joyce. According to the group, this is what made them pursue music in a more serious manner.

In 2010, Young Duece (along with other local Cincinnati acts: Guape Kamp, Crack Sauce, Play Back Kingz and Kool Ken) was nominated for "Best Collaboration" in the Ohio Hip Hop Awards for their "Cincinnati Cypher" project. This would be the first of its kind to be recorded, and would inspire other artists in the area to come together and do the same.

This young hip-hop duo hooked up in 2005 to create their first full length album, “The Beginning of the End”, and have been determined to break into the hip-hop scene ever since. They have put out tons of songs and released four CDs so far in their careers.

PJ aka Da Truth was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He quickly found his love for music at a very young age, and began rapping at the age of four. PJ thrives on performing live where he is constantly spitting his lyrics with aggression and a fierce delivery. He has evolved into the hype man of the group, always keeping his audience moving and excited. PJ is now very focused on not only writing, but the final production side of music. He is beyond his years and considered one of the best engineers among all of his peers and fans alike.

Kidd Flow was born in Dayton, Ohio. He relocated to the Cincinnati area with is family in 2000. He soon began making music with friends at the age of 13. Being raised in a home full of musical talent, he was able to quickly find a style and earned a lot of respect from his peers. His smooth and melodic sound has become a trademark, earning him his stage name, Kidd Flow, and solidifying him as a true hip-hop artist. He is constantly coming up with new and fresh ideas and beats that gives Young Duece a sound of their own. As well as maintaining their internet outlets, from web design to creating album covers, Flow's hobby helps tremendously.

Young Duece’s biggest accomplishment to date was earning the right to be a TOP 10 FINALIST in the first ever Essence Magazine Take Back the Music national song writing competition in 2006, beating out more than 500 applicants.

The group finished up their sophomore album titled “The End of the Beginning” which was released October 23rd of 2007. Their mixtape “Hidden Peace, The Mixtape, Vol. 1” is available as a FREE download on their website, www.YoungDuece.com. Volume two released early 2008. Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”

An Irish phrase meaning shit, derived from ass
(Not to be confused with the literal description of one's buttocks)
"Did you hear the song Aylek$ dropped?"
"Hardly. Her music is absolute cheeks."

"My boyfriend say LaFlame is cheeks."
"Tell your boyfriend I said it's his mixtape that's cheeks."
