The process of performing a "guilty pleasure" in a video game, gamerbating can occur by entering cheats, finding glitches or easter eggs, or anything that makes the game more enjoyable.

Dave: How are you so far in the game already?
Tom: Oh, i spent all night gamerbating.

The act of talking about future game projects in a masturbatory fashion, usually leading to projects that sit on disk and rot with no real progress.

Ra : "I'm going to write a MMORPG where you can do anything."
Tradone : "Stop being a little gamerbate"
Ra : "gamer.. wha? ANYWAY I currently have over 7,000 hockey ideas and counting."
