verb: to get extremely hurt while doing something stupid. Derived from the phrase "broke off", which means to get hurt, and Tom Brokoff (an NBC lead anchor who constantly reports of tragedy).

"that fool tried to cross the tracks to beat the train but ended up getting tom brokoff!!!"
