Short for Maybach, an ultra-luxury car re-introduced in the early 2000's. The original company Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH produced various classic opulent vehicles between 1921 and 1940. Today, the brand is owned by DaimlerChrysler and based in Stuttgart.

A word used by New Zealanders (or 'Kiwis') to describe a holiday or second home. Normally bach is reserved for holiday homes at the beach or near water, but can also be used for homes which are near other recreational things too.
"I'm going to stay with my mate at his bach in Whangamata!"
