A word used by New Zealanders (or 'Kiwis') to describe a holiday or second home. Normally bach is reserved for holiday homes at the beach or near water, but can also be used for homes which are near other recreational things too.
"I'm going to stay with my mate at his bach in Whangamata!"

"The bach we are staying at is quite small, but it's only a few k's from the mountain."
