There are certain signs to being a geek and not a nerd. You would be a geek if:

1. You have a "My other car is a Millenium Falcon" bumper sticker on your car.

2. You think your retainer resembles a Klingon Warship.

3. You can can tell what speed a computer is connecting just by the sound the modem makes.

4. You think your computer speaks to you in English.

5. You can write papers in Binary.

6. You use a VoiceModem headset when making calls.

7. Your idea of a house party is snacking on Rice Krispy Treats and watching Tron.

8. You've seen The Guyver.

9. You have the TIE Fighter ion cannon as your ringtone.

10. You call your bedroom the Fortress of Solitude.

11. If you are able to give ten identifying signs of a geek.

Geeks don't have to be smart, unlike nerds, they are usally people who enjoy video games, comic books, the internet, etc. They are sometimes also defined as socially awkward people.

Ryan spends so much time gaming, he's such a geek.

*Alternate* Zombie(s). Literally one who eats the flesh of a human. This term is famous from the tv series "The Walking Dead" Where it is used interchangeably with the term walker and dead.

Geek 

A Geek although easily confused as a nerd is not. A geek is somebody who obsessives over tv shows, video games, Movies and things like that. Geeks are usually fangirls and fanboys who will be in fandoms, write fanfics, and buy clothes about whatever there obsessing about. It can be very insulting to a geek to be called a nerd.
